Why Teacups?
As sustainability is at the heart of Kydd's Crafts, I repurpose vintage teacups into candles.
These once treasured heirlooms are more often than not found squirrelled away in the backs of cupboards nowadays, so my mission is to get them appreciated again!
They are safe to burn candles in (they started their life in a kiln after all!) and can be washed out to enjoy tea in once again after the candle has burned down.

Why Soy Wax?
Known for its longevity and clean burning properties, soy wax is the wax of choice at Kydd's Crafts. It is a byproduct of soybean oil production and is therefore a vegetable wax that is biodegradable and considered more environmentally friendly. It is vegan friendly too.

If you have good quality vintage china that is free of cracks and chips, please send me a photo of it along with a price. Please bear in mind that, as it's a business, I need to adhere to a budget when purchasing. If it is a family heirloom, it may be better to use my refill service instead. Contact me here.
Do you do refills?
I do, yes! Please get in touch with a photo of your candle container(s) and tell me what colour and scent you would like added to your wax. For a standard size teacup, a refill costs £7. If you would like multiple refills, I can give you a price.
Do you have a need for a bulk order of candles? If so, get in touch - I can supply candles at wholesale prices for your wedding, birthday party or other function! I can also help if you own a shop and wish to stock my candles.
Do you do other types of candles?
I do, yes! I make rainbow candles in jars and candles in tins with different designs available to put on the side.
